WHEREAS, the City of Newark's (hereinafter, "City") Department of Health and Community Wellness (hereinafter, "DHCW") provides medical care services pursuant to and consistent with the Health Center Program laws and regulations (including Section 330 of Public Health Services Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 254b and 42 C.F.R. ? 51c.301, et seq.); and
WHEREAS, New Jersey State Department of Banking and Insurance has made grant funds available for the provision of these services; and
WHEREAS, on October 15, 2025, on behalf of the City of Newark, the Director of the DHCW submitted an application to New Jersey State Department of Banking and Insurance (hereinafter, "NJBOI") PO Box 040, Trenton, New Jersey 08625, for the NJ State Navigator Grant Award, requesting grant funding in the amount of One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($110,000.00), for the continued provision of medical care and supportive services to the City of Newark and surrounding areas (a copy of the grant application is attached hereto and made a part here...
