WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council desires to support the Annual Mass dedicated to Roberto Clemente to be held at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this community-oriented event by authorizing the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Newark Municipal Council hereby authorizes the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, to be drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, and its agents, employees, officers and representatives for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Annual Mass dedicated to Roberto Clemente, to be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.
