WHEREAS, on November 11, 2014, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Fire Extinguishers and Parts, to the Departments of Engineering, Fire, Health and Community Wellness and Water and Sewer Utilities, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed ten (10) bid proposal packages to the prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on December 11, 2014, one (1) bid was received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department recommends that an award be made to Allied Fire & Safety Equipment, Co., Inc., the only, responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director concurs with the recommendation to award to Allied Fire & Safety Equipment, Co., Inc., the only responsive responsible bidder to provide, Fire Extinguishers and Parts to the City; and
