WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, will operate the Miss Glitz, Glamour & Brains S.T.E.M. Pageant for approximately five hundred (500) City of Newark residents, ages eight (8) to eighteen (18), as an intellectual contest and program; and
WHEREAS, the Miss Glitz, Glamour & Brains S.T.E.M. Pageant will operate on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 11:30 P.M. and Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 11:30 P.M. (inclusive of setup and breakdown times); and
WHEREAS, based upon the capacity and facility needs of the Miss Glitz, Glamour & Brains S.T.E.M. Pageant and the programs already scheduled to be conducted at the City of Newark's recreational facilities, Newark Public Schools auditorium facilities are required for the operation of the pageant competition on Friday, October 26, 2018 and Saturday, October 27, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, desires to operate the Miss Glitz, Glamour & Brains S.T.E.M. Pageant at Central High School, 246 18th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108; and
