WHEREAS, the City of Newark (hereinafter the "City") desires to continue to provide HIV/AIDS healthcare, supportive and related services to people living with HIV and AIDS in the Newark Eligible Metropolitan Area (NEMA), which is comprised of Essex, Union, Morris, Sussex, and Warren Counties, prioritizing Essex County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R5-s adopted on April 15, 2026 ("Accepting Resolution"), the Municipal Council of the City of Newark (the "Municipal Council") authorized the Mayor and/or his designee, and the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness ("DHCW"), to apply for funds from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, Maryland 20857, pursuant to the Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America - Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Parts A and B, for the provision of HIV/AIDS healthcare, supportive and related services to individ...
