WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $524,867.00, for the Immunization Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2017 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by award letter dated April 7, 2017, from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, the City of Newark has been awarded $524,867.00 to provide childhood immunization, community outreach and case management services through participation in the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Immunization Program to the residents of the City of Newark.; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides that the Governing Body by a two-thirds vote may make temporary emergency appropriations for any purpose for which appropriations may lawfully be made for the period between the beginning of the current fiscal yea...
