Whereas, Wesley Tann II of the City of Newark, New Jersey has played a major role in the productivity of this community; and
Whereas, the residents of the City of Newark are very fond of the accomplishments of this consummate public servant; and
Whereas, Wesley Tann II, self-sacrifice helped to build on the Social, Health, Educational Welfare and Political Progress of this community; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council wants to commemorate the progress made by Wesley Tann II.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT, it does hereby authorize the naming of the South East Corner of Clinton Avenue and Osborne Terrace as Wesley Tann II Plaza for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
1. The names of said streets shall remain the South East Corner of Clinton
Avenue and Osborne Terrace in their entirety.
