WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $12,500.00, for the 2017 Urban Areas Security Initiative Grant, and no adequate provision has been made in the 2019 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose, and N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by authorizing Resolution 7R9-b July 12, 2017, the City of Newark accepted funds for the 2016 Urban Areas Security Initiative Grant from the State of New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness in the amount of $12,500.00 to provide region's ability to build, maintain and sustain national preparedness capabilities related to training, maintenance, radios, radio equipment, traffic and signals EOC integration, DPP positions, and MMRs positions and e...
