WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $2,196,085.00 for a Comprehensive Anti-Violence Initiative and no adequate provision has been made in the 2012 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution # 7R3-a(S) dated June 12, 2012 from the United States Department of Justice (USDOJ), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), the City of Newark was awarded $2,196,085.00 for the Comprehensive Anti-Violence Initiative.
