WHEREAS, on September 29, 2015 the City of Newark, through its Director of Purchasing, advertised to solicit bids for contractors to provide five (5) 2016 or Newer Chevrolet Tahoe 4 WD, 4 Door LTZ through the Division of Motors, to the Police Department as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed four (4) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on October 15, 2015, three (3) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Manager of the Division of Motors reviewed the bids and recommended that an award be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Wigder Chevrolet Inc., 606 West Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, New Jersey 07039; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A.19:44A-20.5 et seq., solicitations through public bidding in accordance with N.J.S.A.40A:11-1 et seq., meets the requirements...
