WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is added as a bus stop:
ADDED BUS STOP:
1. In the South Ward, along Clinton Avenue, westbound on the northerly side at:
Avon Avenue, farside
Beginning as the westerly curb line of Avon Avenue and extending 100ft. westerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the South Ward, the following described location be hereby added: Along Clinton Avenue along Clinton Avenue, westbound on the northerly side at, at Avon Avenue, farside, beginning as the westerly curb line of Avon Avenue and extending 100ft. westerly therefrom.
2. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
3. No Amendment shall be made to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council of the City of Newark.
4. Upon approval, the Department of Engineering will forward a copy of this resolution to the City Clerk’s Office to notify them of the Local Government’s approval for the designation of a bus stop as stated.
5. Upon approval, a certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to New Jersey Transit to notify them of the Local Government’s approval for the designation ...
