WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $1,557,389.00 for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), General Assistance (GA), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Case Management, and SNAP Work Activities Grant and no adequate provision has been made in the 2012 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose abovementioned; and
WHEREAS, by resolution 7R8-a dated 092111, the City of Newark accepted WFNJ Programs in the amount of $1,557,389.00 to provide funds ...
