Whereas, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-120 et seq., the City of Newark is authorized to appoint up to 50 Constables.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. Isabelino Figueroa, Jr., 515 Mount Prospect Avenue #11F, Newark, NJ, be and is hereby appointed Constable for a one year term commencing on January 5, 2012 and ending January 4, 2013, in accordance with his application to serve subpoenas, writs, repossessions and body warrants.
2. Prior to entering upon the execution of his office and no later than (30)
Days after the effective date of the appointment, the aforesaid appointee shall submit a Constable Bond, which shall be approved as to form, amount and sufficiency of Surety by Resolution of the Municipal Council.
