WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-120 et seq., the City of Newark is authorized to appoint up to 50 Constables.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. Harrison Hogue, 34 Dassing Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, be and he is hereby appointed Constable for a one year term commencing on November 22, 2011 and ending November 21, 2012, in accordance with his application to serve warrants of removal, repossessions of property and serving official documents.
2. Prior to entering upon the execution of his office and no later than thirty
(30) days after the effective date of the appointment, the aforesaid
appointee shall submit a Constable Bond, which shall be approved as
to form, amount and sufficiency of Surety by Resolution of the
Municipal Council.
