AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:5-2, PARKING PROHIBITED AT CERTAIN TIMES, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY PROHIBITING PARKING 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M., MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY ON CLIFFORD STREET. WHEREAS, No Parking 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday is no longer required at 138 Clifford Street because the Ironbound Senior Citizen Center has relocated to 156 Rome Street; and
WHEREAS, No Parking 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday is required on Rome Street, west side, beginning 110 feet south of the southerly curb line of St. Charles Street and extending 50 feet southerly therefrom, in front of the Ironbound Senior Citizen Center in the East Ward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. That Section 23:5-2, Parking Prohibited at Certain Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by deleting therefrom the following:
Clifford Street:
North side, from beginning at the westerly curbline of Van Buren Street and extending 60 feet westerly therefrom, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Section 2. That Section 23:5-2, Parking Prohibited at Certain Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:
Rome Street:
West side, beginning 110 feet south of the southerly curb line of St. Charles Street and extending 50 feet southerly therefrom, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Section 3. Any existing ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
