AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:15-4, YIELD INTERSECTIONS, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY REVISING YIELD SIGN REGULATIONS

WHEREAS, the Division of Traffic and Signals desires to improve safety at the intersection of Park Avenue and Lake Street by requiring drivers to yield on Lake Street.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. That Section 23:15-4, Yield Intersections, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:
Park Avenue and Lake Street
Yield Sign shall be installed on Lake Street
Section 2. Any ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 4. This ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
STATEMENT
This ordinance designates a Yield approach at Park Avenue and Lake Street.
