A motion requesting that the Newark Police Department explore the feasibility of drafting legislation which would require businesses that are involved in alcohol consumption and purchase, (liquor stores, bars and restaurants), provide and maintain surveillance equipment during their hours of operation; furthermore, requesting that the Department explore the feasibility of providing grant and subsidy dollars for the purchase and installation of surveillance equipment, from a proposed increase in alcohol and beverage control license transfer fees.
