Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting Council Member Ronald C. Rice for a State of the West Ward Address at Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, NJ 07106, on Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM; and
Whereas, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of this program, which will benefit the children, families and residents of the City of Newark.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. THE City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission agrees to Hold Harmless and Indemnify the Newark Public Schools for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, 07106, on Saturday, March 24, 2012, between the hours of 10:00AM and 12:00 PM.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council shall, forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless Agreement to the Newark Public Schools for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
