WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting Council Member, Ras J. Baraka for the use of the Auditorium for the 2nd State of the South Ward to be held at George Washington Carver Elementary School, 333 Clinton Place, Newark, New Jersey 07112, on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 4:00 P.M. ending at 8:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for the 2nd State of the South Ward, which will benefit children, families and residents of the City of Newark.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY:
1. That it does hereby authorize the Insurance Fund Commission of Newark, New Jersey, to execute on behalf of the Municipal Council, a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement providing for the indemnification for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Auditorium at George Washington Carver Elementary School, 333 Clinton Place, Newark, New Jersey 07112, on Thursday, February 23, 2012, beginning at 4:00 P.M. ending at 8:00 P.M.
2. This resolution is hereby ratified to the date of adoption by the Municipal Council.
3. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar S...
