WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R1-F(S), authorized on December 22, 2009, the City of Newark appropriated $40,000.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the Boys & Girls Club of Newark, (hereinafter referred to as the Sub-recipient) to provide physical rehabilitation services to its’ facility located at 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R1-F, authorized on January 19, 2011, the Municipal Council authorized the Mayor and/or his designee, the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development to enter into and execute a contract with the Sub-recipient for the purpose of performing physical rehabilitation for the contract period January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00; and
