Type of Service: Designating an Investigative Committee with power
to issue subpoenas
Purpose: Amended Resolution designating an Investigative Committee of the Newark Municipal Council to investigate, and examine the functions, practices and operations of the Newark Watershed Conservation and Development Corporation (NWCDC) and the City of Newark Water and Sewer Department; the proposed water and sewer rate increases; to develop a plan of action; to submit recommendations to improve the efficiency of the Newark Watershed and the City of Newark Water and Sewer Utilities Department and further said Committee shall have the power to issue subpoenas.
