WHEREAS, Resolution 7R12-D092111 authorized the award of Contract 04-WS2011 Inspection and Repair of Pressure Regulating Valves to Scafar Contracting, Inc., 225 Pacific Street, Newark, New Jersey 07114 in the amount not to exceed $1,342,383.00 in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and

WHEREAS, Contract 04-WS2011 needs to be modified with a total of $125,303.00 to be reduced for unused quantities, and $108,258.60 to be increased for additional work required to be performed for modifications as detailed in the attached change order, with a net amount of $17,044.40 to be reduced from the contract amount, and with an increase in contract time by 180 calendar days; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Water & Sewer Utilities wishes to execute a Change Order No.1 to Contract 04-WS2011 Inspection and Repair of Pressure Regulating Valves, with Scafar Contracting, Inc., 225 Pacific Street, Newark, New Jersey 07114 reducing the contract by $17,044.40, bringing the contract to an amount not to exceed $1,325,338.60, and increasing the contract completion time by 180 cal...
