WHEREAS, on August 16, 2011, the City of Newark, through its Purchasing Director, advertised to solicit bids for Transportation of the Elderly (Senior Coach Transportation Program), as described in the attached bid proposal to be used by the Department of Child and Family Well-Being; and

WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed fifteen (15) bid packages in response to this advertisement; and

WHEREAS, on September 1, 2011, no bids were received in response to this advertisement; and

WHEREAS, on October 18, 2011, the City of Newark, through it Purchasing Director, re-advertised to solicit bids for Transportation of the Elderly (Senior Coach Transportation Program), as described in the attached bid proposal to be used by the Department of Child and Family Well-Being; and

WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed fifteen (15) bid packages in response to this re-advertisement; and

WHEREAS, on November 3, 2011, one (1) bid was received in response to this re-advertisement; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Child and Family Well-Being reviewed the bid received; and
