Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Senior Fitness Day at the Weequahic Park Field House and Soccer Field on Thursday, June 21, 2012, between 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M.; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving this hold harmless and indemnification with the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission agrees to Hold Harmless and Indemnify the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Weequahic Park Field House and Soccer Field on Thursday, June 21, 2012, between 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless Agreement to the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
