Whereas, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-120 et seq., the City of Newark is authorized to appoint up to 50 Constables.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. McGill T. Martin, 218 Clinton Place, Newark, New Jersey, be and he is hereby appointed Constable for a one year term commencing from one year of date of adoption, in accordance with his application to serve warrants, lockouts and repossessions.
2. Prior to entering upon the execution of his office and no later than thirty (30) days after the effective date of the appointment, the aforesaid appointee shall submit a Constable Bond, which shall be approved as to form, amount and sufficiency of Surety by Resolution of the Municipal Council.

This resolution authorizes McGill T. Martin to serve as a Constable of the City of Newark, New Jersey for a term of one year from date of adoption.
