Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the 1st Dog Walk in the Ironbound at the Independence Park on Saturday, June 30, 2012, between 10:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M.; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving this hold harmless and indemnification with the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission agrees to Hold Harmless and Indemnify the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Independence Park on Saturday, June 30, 2012, between 10:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless Agreement to the Newark Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
