Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a South Ward Unity Cookout sponsored by Council Member Ras J. Baraka, to be held at Weequahic Park, at the entrance of Elizabeth Avenue and Chancellor Avenue, Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, July 28, 2012, from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving this Hold Harmless and Indemnification with the Essex County Division of Parks and Recreation.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY; THAT:
1. The City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission agrees to Hold Harmless and Indemnify the Essex County Division of Parks and Recreation for any claims arising out of the use of Weequahic Park for a South Ward Unity Cookout sponsored by Council Member Ras J. Baraka, to be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council shall, forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless Agreement to the Essex County Division of Parks and Recreation for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

The City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission agrees to Hold Harmless and Indemnify the Essex County Division of Parks and Recreation for claims arising out of the use of Weequahic Park at the entrance of Elizabeth Avenue and Chancellor Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday, July 28, 20012 from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
