Whereas, Frank Hurtz has played a major role in the productivity of this community; and
Whereas, the residents of the City of Newark is very fond of the accomplishments of this consummate public servant; and
Whereas, Frank Hurtz has devoted his time and effort and self-sacrifice to help build on the social, health and welfare and political progress of this community; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council wants to commemorate the progress made by Frank Hurtz by designating street signage in his honor for all residents to enjoy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT it does hereby authorize the naming of the corner of Mt. Prospect Avenue and Mt. Prospect Place as Frank Hurtz Plaza for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
1. Naming of Mt. Prospect Avenue and Mt. Prospect Place as Frank Hurtz Plaza for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
2. The names of said streets shall remain Mt> Prospect Avenue and Mt. Prospect Place in their entirety.
