Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting Walk for the Cure at Independence Park on Sunday, October 28, 2012, between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council wishes to indicate its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commision for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Independence Park on Sunday, October 28, 2012, between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
