WHEREAS, at the request of the residents, the Department of Engineering and New Jersey Transit have inspected this site and agree with the relocation of the bus stop, and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:
DELETED BUS STOP:
1. In the West Ward, along Sandford Avenue, northbound on the easterly side at:
Underwood Street, farside
Beginning at the northerly curb line of Underwood Street and extending 100 feet northerly therefrom.
ADDED BUS STOP:
2. In the West Ward, along Sandford Avenue, northbound on the easterly side at:
Lenox Street, nearside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Lenox Street and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the West Ward, the following described location be hereby deleted:
Along Sandford Avenue, northbound on the easterly side, at Underwood Street farside, beginning at the northerly curb line of Underwood Street and extending 100 feet northerly therefrom.
