WHEREAS, on May 24, 2011, the City of Newark, through its Purchasing Director, advertised to solicit bids for Solid Waste Collection Services & Recyclable Material Collection Services, for the Department of Neighborhood and Recreational Services, Division of Sanitation, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed fourteen (14) bid packages in response to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on July 6, 2011, Addendum No. 1 inclusive of clarifications was issued; and
WHEREAS, on July 28, 2011, three (3) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Neighborhood and Recreational Services, Division of Sanitation, reviewed the bids and recommended that an award be made to the lowest ...
