Whereas, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is designated as a bus stop:
ADDED BUS STOP:
1. In the West Ward, along Irvington Avenue, westbound on the northerly side thereof:
Midblock between, Manor Drive and Eder Terrace
Beginning 1000 feet from the westerly curb line of Manor Drive and extending 135 feet westerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the West Ward, the following described location be hereby added:
Along Irvington Avenue, westbound on the northerly side, midblock between Manor Drive and Eder Terrace, beginning at 1000 feet from the westerly curb line of Manor Drive and extending 135 feet westerly therefrom.
2. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
3. No Amendment will be made to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council of the City of Newark.
4. Upon approval, the Engineering Department will forward a copy of this resolution to the City Clerk’s Office to notify them of the Local Government’s approval for the location of a bus stop as stated.
