WHEREAS, the North Jersey Transportation Authority administers a federally funded project development program for the advancement of transportation improvements, through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Process, for the NJTPA subregions; and
WHEREAS, on October 1, 2012, the City of Newark received a grant solicitation letter (a copy of the letter is attached hereto and made a part hereof) from the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA), for the submission of proposals for the FY 2014 Local Capital Project Delivery Programs Local Concept Development Phase (LCD); and
WHEREAS, on October 11, 2012, the City of Newark, Department of Engineering submitted an FY 2014 Local Capital Project Delivery Programs Local Concept Development Phase (LCD) Proposal for the Avenue P Bridge Project to the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) requesting grant funding in the amount of $499,082.00; and
WHEREAS, nomunicipal funds are required for receipt or acceptance of this grant award
