WHEREAS, N.J.S.A 40A: 4-87 provides that the Director of Local Government Services may approve the insertion of any Special Item of Revenue in the budget of any local unit when such item shall have been made available by law and the amount thereof shall not have been determined at the time of the adoption of the budget, and may approve the insertion of an appropriation item of equal amount for the purpose of carrying out the purposes of the law making such item of revenue available for expenditure; and

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration has made available $335,000.00 bringing total program resources to $1,976,073.00 for the Homeless Health Care Program; and

WHEREAS, by authorizing Resolutions 7R2-a dated June 7, 2012 and 7R1-0 dated September 6, 2012, the City of Newark applied and accepted the Homeless HRSA Grant in the amounts of $704,177.00 and $936,896.00 to provide medical care, ...
