WHEREAS, Resolution 7R4-e 030811 adopted August 3, 2011, authorized the Director of the Department of Engineering to execute Contract #07-2011PS Ironbound Football Field (A- Field) Development, Newark, New Jersey, (East Ward) with Weston Solutions, Inc., 1 Gateway Center, Suite 2600, Newark, New .Jersey 07102, for a total amount of $143,800.00; and
WHEREAS, a ‘Notice to Proceed’ was issued dated September 16, 2011, specifying September 16, 2011 as the effective date and ending on September 15, 2012; and
WHEREAS, more time is needed to complete the environmental phase of the project; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Engineering desires to amend Contract #07-2011PS, to extend the contract term from September 16, 2011 to September 15, 2012 to September 15, 2012 to September 14, 2013, at no additional cost to the City; and
WHEREAS, the contracted services are professional services and are exempt from the public bidding requirements of the Local Public Contracts Law, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a)(i); and
