WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $1,501,000.00 for Various Streets - 2012 Newark (10 Locations ATP - 12) Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2013 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 7R4-a dated November 22, 2011, the City of Newark accepted funds from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) State Aid to Counties and Municipalities FY2012 Municipal Aid ATP Program (NJDOT Municipal Aid ATP Program), in the amount of $1,501,000.00 for improvements to various streets (10 Locations) identified as application MA-ATP-2012-Newark City-00004 with no Municipal funds required; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A 40A:4-20 provides that the Governing Body by a two-thirds vote may make temporary emergency appropriations for any purpose for which appropriations may lawfully be made for the period between the beginning of the current fiscal year and the date of the adoption of the budget for said year; and
WHEREAS, emergency appropriation adopted in 2013 pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 including this resolution total...$9,974,421.00.
