WHEREAS, on August 1, 2010, Enforsys Police Systems, Inc. (“Enforsys”) began to provide annual maintenance and support services for the Newark Police Department (NPD) PoliSys RMS (Records Management System) solution, which includes software, software licensing, hardware, and interfaces to other critical police systems; and

WHEREAS, the twenty-four hours per day/seven days a week annual maintenance which has been provided by Enforsys specifically covers the Newark Police Department’s essential services for the PoliSys Records Management System, which includes: periodic updates and support for NPD’s PoliSys database software residing on database servers and workstation clients, periodic updates and new releases to calltaker and dispatcher workstations, support for the CAD (Computer Aided Dispatching) system to RMS interface, access to Enforsys’ 24x7x365 helpdesk; and

WHEREAS, Enforsys has invoiced the City for those services in the amount of $29,500.00 for the period of August 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010, $88,500.00 for the period of January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011, and $88,500.00 for the period of January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012, for a total of $206,500.00 provided upon the request of the Police Department because these services are critical to preserve and protect the health, safety and welfare of Newark residents; and
