Whereas, at the request of the Department of Engineering, a review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals was completed, and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:
ADDED BUS STOP:
1. In the Central Ward, along Irvine Turner Boulevard, southbound on the westerly side thereof:
17th Avenue farside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of 17th Avenue and extending 100 feet southerly therefrom.
DELETED BUS STOP:
2. In the Central Ward, along Irvine Turner Boulevard, southbound on the westerly side thereof:
17th Avenue nearside
Beginning at the northerly curb line of 17th Avenue and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the Central Ward, the following described location be hereby relocated:
From: along Irvine Turner Boulevard, southbound on the westerly side, at 17th Avenue (nearside) beginning at the northerly curb line of 17th Avenue and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom.
To: along Irvine Turner Boulevard, southbound on the westerly side, at 17th Avenue (farside) beginning at the southerly curb line of 17th Avenue and extending 100 feet southerly therefrom.
2. No unicipal funds need to be expended for this act.
