WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council, through Resolution 7R3-E, adopted on December 19, 2012, authorized the Mayor and/or his designee, the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development, to enter into and execute a contract with the Urban League of Essex County, 508 Central Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, 07107 for the purpose of providing case management and job placement services to forty (40) formerly incarcerated individuals, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), for the period commencing on September 1, 2012 and terminating on January 31, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 7R3-E, adopted on December 19, 2012, contained a typographical error in the expiration date of the contract; and
WHEREAS, the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development wishes to amend Resolution 7R3-E, adopted on December 19, 2012 to correct the typographical error that inadvertently set the contract term from September 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013, rather than from September 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013, as was intended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
- Resolution 7R3-E, adopted on December 19, 2012, is hereby amended to correct the typographical error that inadvertently set the contract term from September 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013 rather than from September 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013, as was intended.
- No amendments to the Contract authorized by Resolution 7R3-E, adopted on December 19, 2012, are necessary as it contains the correct term of September 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013.
- The Contract between the City of Newark and the Urban League of Essex County is hereby ratified from September 1, 2012 to the date of adoption of this authorizing Resolution.
- A copy of this Amended Resolution shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk by the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development.

This resolution hereby ratifies and authorizes an amendment to Resolution 7R3-E, adopted on December 19, 2012, to correct the typographical error that inadvertently set the contract term from September 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013 rather than from September 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013, as was intended.
