AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:5-14e, PARKING BY PERMIT ONLY IN DESIGNATED RESIDENTIAL AREAS, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY REVISING THE EXISTING PERMIT PARKING HOURS ON BRUEN STREET BETWEEN ELM STREET AND LAFAYETTE STREET.

WHEREAS, the residents and business owners of Columbia Street have requested that the hours for Permit Parking on Bruen Street between Elm Street and Lafayette Street be revised, in the East Ward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. That Section 23:5-14e, Parking by Permit Only in Designated Residential Areas, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, be amended and supplemented by deleting there from the following:
Bruen Street, both sides between Elm Street and Lafayette Street
(Hours: 24hrs. / Days: Monday-Sunday)
Section 2. That Section 23:5-14e, Parking by Permit Only in Designated Residential Areas, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, be amended and supplemented by adding thereto the following:
Bruen Street, both sides between Elm Street and Green Street
(Hours: 24hrs. / Days: Monday-Sunday)
Bruen Street, both sides between Green Street and Lafayette Street
(Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. / Days: Monday-Friday)
Section 3. Regulatory signs shall be erected and maintained by the City of Newark.
Section 4. Any ordinance or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5 This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
