WHEREAS, on February 19, 2013, the Department of Engineering, City of Newark, advertised for the receipt of sealed bids for Contract #20-2012, Essex County Improvement Authority Renovations to Department of Child and Family Well-Being, 94 William Street, Newark, New Jersey, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Laws, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the eight (8) contractors, who picked up bid packages for Contract #208-2012, Essex County Improvement Authority Renovations to Department of Child and Family Well-Being, 94 William Street, Newark, New Jersey, were invited to do a visual inspection of the building, on February 27, 2013; and
WHEREAS, on April 4, 2013, the scheduled date for the public opening of bids, four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, after a review of the bids received, the Director of the Department of Engineering, has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Newark to accept the bid proposal and execute Contract #20-2012, Renovations to Departmen...
