WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $1,501,000.00 for Various Streets - 2013 Newark (7 Locations ATP - 13) Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2013 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 7R4-c, March 20, 2013, the City of Newark accepted funds from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) State Aid to Counties and Municipalities FY2013 Municipal Aid ATP Program (NJDOT Municipal Aid ATP Program), in the amount of $1,501,000.00 for the improvement and construction of local municipal streets (7 Locations), identified as application MA-ATP-2013-Newark City-00005 with no Municipal funds required; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A 40A:4-20 provides that the Governing Body by a two-thirds vote may make temporary emergency appropriations for any purpose for which appropriations may lawfully be made for the period between the begi...
