WHEREAS, the Municipal Council through Resolution 7R8-b, adopted on September 1, 2010, authorized the Mayor of the City of Newark, and/or his designee(s) the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development and the Acting Deputy Director of One Stop Operations/NewarkWORKS, to accept the following WorkFirst New Jersey ("WFNJ") funds through the Newark Workforce Investment Board:
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
("TANF") Work Activities $ 1,120,957
General Assistance GA and Food Stamps
("GA/FS') Work Activities $ 885,000
For a total of $ 2,005,957
