WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a 2013 Battle of the Badges, Softball Tournament Fundraiser at Branch Brook Park, 3 Diamonds, Newark, New Jersey 07104 on Saturday, August 10, 2013 and Sunday, August 11, 2013, between 10:00 A.M. to 9:30 P.M.; and

WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving this Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement with the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Branch Brook Park, 3 Diamonds, Newark, New Jersey 07104 for the 2013 Battle of the Badges, Softball Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, August 10, 2013 and Sunday, August 11, 2013, between 10:00 A.M. to 9:30 P.M.
