WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $300,000.00, for the Immunization Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2013 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by award letter dated June 27, 2013, from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, the City of Newark has been awarded $300,000.00 to provide childhood immunization, community outreach and case management services through participation in the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Immunization Program to the residents of the City of Newark (All Wards); and
