WHEREAS, on May 16, 2013 the City of Newark advertised for the receipt of sealed bids for Contract 06-WS2013 for PROVIDING ONE (1) 2012 or latest model 9 FOOT DUAL WHEEL SERVICE BODY WITH VALVE MACHINE, TRAV-L-VAC AND ACCESSORIES and ONE (1) E.H WACHS LX VALVE MAINTENANCE TRAILER OR APPROVED EQUAL, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, on June 4, 2013, the scheduled date for the public opening of bids, four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, after a review of the bids received, the Acting Director of the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Newark to accept the bid proposal and execute Contract 06-WS2013 with DFFLM, LLC.
