WHEREAS, Kenneth B. Gifford, was appointed Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-B, adopted at the August 7, 2013, Regular Municipal Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Kenneth B. Gifford, must give a bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and required by the Ordinance and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of Kenneth B. Gifford, is for the period three (3) years from the date of the Constable Bond to its expiration whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to Kenneth B. Gifford, of 350 South 8th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby authorizes and approves as to form, amount and sufficiency the Constable Bond for Kenneth B. Gifford, of 350 South 8th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment and/or expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
