WHEREAS, Michael Lewis was appointed Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-b, adopted at the October 17, 2013 Regular Municipal Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Michael Lewis, must give a bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, in such form and amount as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of Michael Lewis, is for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to Michael Lewis, 151 Mapes Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby authorizes and approves as to form, amount and sufficiency the Constable Bond for Michael Lewis, 151 Mapes Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, who was appointed to serve as Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey, for a period of three (3) years.
