WHEREAS, on July 15, 2013, the Department of Engineering, City of Newark, advertised for the receipt of bids for Contract #15-2013 Providing Chemical Coating on Existing HVAC Unit Coils at Newark City Hall, 920 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Laws, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, on August 14, 2013, the advertised, scheduled date for the public opening of bids, and one (1) bid was received; and
WHEREAS, LAN Associates, the consultant retained by the City of Newark, recommends that the contract be awarded to Protecall Coatings, LLC, 600 Ryerson Road, Suite F, Lincoln Park, New Jersey 07035, the lowest numerical bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Engineering has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Newark to accept the bid proposal and execute Contract #15-2013 Providing Chemical Coating on Existing HVAC Unit Coils at Newark City Hall, 920 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, with the lowest resp...
