WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $297,000.00 for the purchase of water safety and rescue/response equipment for the Department's 27' Fireboat for response to waterside fires and to detect radiological threats during day and night operations and no adequate provision has been made in the 2014 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by resolution 7R6-a adopted March 6, 2013, accepted the grant funds from the United States Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency through The Port Authority of NY & NJ for the purchase of water safety and rescue/response equipment for the Department's 27' Fireboat for response to waterside fires and to detect radiological threats during day and night operations in the amount o...
